Look up your OtterID

Forgot Password Questions now required to access MyCSUMB!

Your OtterID is used to login to every system on campus, from campus email to logging into computers, connecting to the wireless network, and using CMS Student/HR and MyCSUMB. Learn more about your OtterID.

Change/look up your OtterID password

Your first Otter ID password (birthday) is a temporary password. Please create a new password and set up your forgot password questions. For security reasons, you will be asked to change your password every 180 days.

If you forget your OtterID password, you can look it up using the Identity Management System (but Forgotten Password Questions must be set up first).

Forgot your Otter ID?

Use the form to the right to look up your OtterID using your name and date of birth.

No more password syncing for chat or mobile devices!

IT has performed an upgrade to the campus OtterID system so every time you change your OtterID password, it is also synced with Google so your mobile device or any other chat or email clients will always use your most up-to-date password.

If you are setting up a mobile device for the first time, you will need to have changed your OtterID password after October 1, 2011 for this service to work. To change your OtterID password, use the CSUMB Identity Management System.
